Audio tour of the Castle and guided wine tasting

How can you be satisfied with a historical tour of a place whose wine production probably spans more than a thousand years without pushing open the cellar doors, without plunging your eyes, nose and lips into the product of its soils... without understanding them?
Discover the Château's wines during a guided tasting (in French).

An archetypal terroir-based vineyard, Burgundy's soils are a treasure trove of wonders, even before we talk about grape varieties or wine. Come and understand the slow evolution from the Triassic to the Jurassic, from the fragmentation of granite to the recalcification of sandstone, from the influence of marl to the hydric capacity of clay... a journey through time and matter, a tasting of six white and red wines from the Côtes du Couchois to better understand the typicity of Burgundy, the influence of what we call climates. Come and taste a little of our land, which we offer you through a fantastic vehicle called wine.

Hospices de Beaune

The annual Hospices de Beaune auction, organized by Christie's since 2005, dates back to 1795 and takes place on the third Sunday in November. Founded in 1443 by Nicolas Rolin and Guigone de Salins to help the needy, the Hospices de Beaune now own over 60 hectares of prestigious vineyards in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. Every year, the Cave de Mazenay acquires a number of wines from this charity sale, vinifies them and offers them for sale, thus contributing to this age-old tradition of generosity.

Clos Marguerite

Nestled in the clay soils of the 'Cran', Clos Marguerite passionately cultivates 50 ares of Aligoté, offering a wine of remarkable finesse, marked by subtle salinity and exceptional minerality. The Pinot Noir parcel, heir to noble origins, extends over 10 ouvrées (42.8a), with 45-year-old vines facing south-east, capturing the last rays of a beneficent autumn. A must in the world of Burgundy wines, Chardonnay, now on almost one hectare (95.7a), bears witness to a long-term vision with a recent planting with a view to AOP Côtes du Couchois Blanc.
